What is this site about?
The internet is, in my opinion, mankind's greatest feat, but there is a definite lack of hands-on exercises for aspiring programmers. To my knowledge there is not a website out there that offers a comprehensive collection of exercises free of charge. My aim is to scoure the internet in search of exercises and present them here as a collective. If you have exercises to share, please forward them to the Webmaster.
Furthermore this website doesn't attempt to teach you Visual Basic.NET, but it should serve as a reference for people who are learning to program. The internet offers boundless tutorial resources, but I will attempt to address those points that none of these sites cater for. If you have never written one line of code, see New Coder?

Why was this site created? I'm a correspondence student. I do not attend classes, nor do I have the support of a study group and my appointed tutor doesn't offer me what I expect. That means that I have to be my own tutor and student. Distance learning is not the easiest way to learn programming, but it's the best way to ensure that you never forget anything you learn. This site comprises mainly of hands-on exercises that I have collected from various sources and my own personal notes that I have compiled. Why did I bother to publish my notes? Why not! Instead of keeping them for myself, I felt it would serve a greater purpose if I share it. For the amount of time I have spent compiling these notes it seems a waste to keep them for myself. Hopefully you will find something here that will assist you in your learning process. Download myWallpaper Right-click a thumbnail and select Save Target As. Once it is saved on your computer, it will be of normal size.
